Red vein Hulu is named after the area it is cultivated in as it mainly grows along the Kapuas River in the Hulu Forest. Located on the island of Borneo, red Hulu has high alkaloid concentrations due to its growing environment. Since this area is difficult to access, it has created issues in the supply chain making red Hulu a rarer strain. It is made by harvesting fully matured leaves that are handpicked and dried thoroughly. The process to get it ready can be lengthy and intense, a factor that further contributes to its rarity.

I’d looked for a new company to use as the customer service was bad with one of the ones I use, and none of them offered any “unusual” strains. When the company only carriers the same 4 red strains. Packages are quality, the zippers have not broken and were shipped in a decent amount of time. The customer service has been great. Good customer service can make or break a company but it seems like they have that part well handled. I will review the other strains I’ve purchased as I try them out.
