Originating from southeast Asia, green vein Hulu thrives in the thick and dense forests of Indonesia on the island of Borneo. This strain was named after the Hulu Forest located near the banks of the Kapuas River. Since this area is not readily accessible, green Hulu is somewhat of a rarity. It is made by harvesting semi-mature leaves that are handpicked and dried thoroughly. This process can be time consuming and complex, further contributing to its rarity. For this reason, despite being around for many years, many kratom users are still unaware of the strain.
