This area has year-round high temperatures, elevated humidity, rich acidic soil, and ample rainfall. All these factors contribute to the properties of red elephant. Made from harvesting mature leaves that go through a special drying process that is known only to the locals, it has only led to a dwindling supply chain. This rare strain is generally cultivated by Ayurvedic farmers who do not use any chemicals, making it an organic product.
